One fun thing about the Jaguar is that in a hard turn the fuselage would bend, which meant (until they added some gubbins to fix it) the control rods were no longer the right length and the rudder and tailplane would develop a mind of their own.

Accordingly the WAAF erk had hopped aboard the rather aptly named T for Trouble as it taxied at RAF Hibaldstow.
Unfortunately the pilot either didn't realise or simply forgot about his cargo. The hapless Horton was hoisted heavenwards.

As the Hudson circles, the crew swim to their dinghy, which is inflating to the right of the tailplane. Six of the men escaped, but the on board meteorologist was killed.

Since the invention of ailerons, it is rare to find an aircraft without them. However, the SO.9000 "Trident", an experimental supersonic aircraft from the 1950s, does not have them.

The L-33 light aircraft was a small plane built in 1932 by Leyat and Jacquemin, who began work on it in September 1932.
Its wing, cut in half, was unique in that it was articulated, allowing for control of roll and pitch. The horizontal tailplane, on the other hand, was completely immobile.

In 1948, Latécoère launched the study of the ‘Laté 272’, a jet fighter seaplane project. It used the tailplane of the Laté 631 and the armament included four 30 mm cannons in the sides of the fuselage.
To improve the pilot's visibility, the cockpit was positioned at the extreme tip of the fuselage.
