I doubt she would contradict herself like this. Also, the narrative doesn't give us any hints that Kyoya and Kaoru might get together in the future. I mean, it's ok to ship KyoKao, but claiming that they're canonically dating is wrong.I personally ship TamaKyo but I also know this ship is not canon
