First day at Tanque Verde ranch with MISA. The morning was in studio plus a cactus. The afternoon was at the wash - full of water after Saturday's rain. This place is excessively scenic. #watercolor #desert #tanqueverde #madelineislandschoolofthearts #urbansketching

Morning at Art Camp (aka Madeline School of the Arts in Tanque Verde In Tucson). We mixed greens and talked about having enough water. #watercolor #tanqueverde #misa

How do you summarize a week of looking at the desert and somehow discovering that Holbein lavender is the solution to all your problems? I gave it a shot at least: mytruantpen.com/2025/01/25/t... #watercolor #tucson #mise #tanqueverde #urbansketching

Hey, this is a totally new insight that I am the first person to ever figure out... But it turns out that consistent and focused practice on a skill with an excellent teacher makes you better. #watercolor #mise #tanqueverde

Book 10: Kaffe Fassett: In the Studio. I snuck in a reading of this glorious book before sending it on to its final recipient. The author is here at the program I'm at, and his class is a riot of color. #kaffefassett #mise #madeleineislandschoolofart #tanqueverde #color

I need: a hotel room for Friday and Saturday, to charge my rental EV and to figure out what I'm hiking Saturday. I spent 30 minutes researching all of this and actually clicked "go" on none of this. Art fatigue is real. #tanqueverde

I would just stay at Tanque Verde but they have no EV charger...

The ranch here is spectacular, and the Sonoran Desert is so beautiful. It's not my place, but I see why it would be beloved. I'm also not a horse person, but horses are amazing. #tanqueverde

Today in art I had a piece in frustrated by and one that really shows how far I've come. I'll let you decide which is which. #watercolors #misewest #tucson #tanqueverde #arizona

Encountered rogue javelinas on my way back from the studio to my room. Dangerous neighborhood here at #tanqueverde

So my plan for surviving the next three weeks is 100% escapism. I'll be doing a weeklong watercolor class at Tanque Verde ranch in the Sonoran desert over ... that week. How are you going to keep your strength? #watercolor #tanqueverde #survivingJanuary

He did it! @KevinVolkAZ did the work and won! This is a huge deal. Kevin's pragmatic and measured approach to leadership will serve his district well. This is the leader #Marana #SaddleBrooke #OroValley #RitaRanch #PictureRocks #TanqueVerde and #EastTucson desperately need. 🌵🏜️
