GODO Tantakatan no Umeshu

A different Japanese alcoholic beverage every day in February

Day 17

Tantakatan (which I’m choosing to translate as “Celebration”) Highball

Cool can, but I don’t care for it. Only 5% alcohol, which is nice. And only 350 ml which is maybe even nicer.

Looking forward to this month being over.

Shiranuka, from the Ainu word Shirarika (“rocky shore”), is rooted in Indigenous culture that still lives on today. Traditions are preserved and shared, and even the name Tantakatan comes from an Ainu legend. A place where nature, story, and culture remain.

The setting:
50+ years ago mysterious creatures called HUGE suddenly appeared, diminishing human and animal population significantly.

These creatures are invulnerable to military weapons and so they devised CHARMS that only adolescent girls can wield.

Goes down dangerously sweet & smooth.

So enjoy it on the rocks, with soda or as a base for cocktails, Kanpai!

ABV: 12%
