館林のつつじが岡公園で、ココスの館林松原店が「宇宙よりも遠い場所」の聖地だと聞いて、本当かと思いつつ行ってみました。

せっかくなので、どでかパフェ頂いてきました。
思った以上に大きく、これがお昼ごはんになってしまいました💦

"Tatebayashi", Gunma Prefecture.
These are pennants from Morin-ji Temple in Tatebayashi City. Morin-ji Temple is known for the folktale “Bunbuku Chagama”.
Length red; 55.5cm (21.8in), black; 57cm (24.4in). Circa the 1960s or 1970s. #vintage
1. Two types of Tatebayashi pennants: red and black. Morin-ji Temple is known for the folktale “Bunbuku Chagama,” in which a tanuki disguises itself as a monk and performs good deeds for the people. 2. The black Tatebayashi pennant (full view). It features a white illustration printed on black fabric. There are two light blue ribbons attached to the left side of the flag. The illustration depicts a Japanese raccoon dog walking a tightrope. The raccoon dog holds a traditional Japanese umbrella in one hand and a fan bearing the Hinomaru flag in the other; it has a tea kettle on its back and a long, rounded tail. Azalea flowers are blooming around the tightrope-walking raccoon dog. The caption on the traditional Japanese-style wooden sign reads “Tatebayashi” (in white). The title is written in cursive Roman letters as “Tatebayashi” (in gold). The final “i” is extended downward from the text, resembling a ribbon decoration. 3. Tatebayashi pennant, full view (red). Two cream-colored ribbons are attached to the left side of the flag. The illustration is drawn with black lines on red fabric. 「宇宙よりも遠い場所」のフレーム切手買いました！
切手と、おまけのシールと絵葉書のセットです。

切手といいながら、お宝すぎてとても実際には使えない・・・

以前館林の公園で買ったキマリちゃんの缶バッジは、この絵から来ていたのですねぇ。

館林市はこの切手の発売の式典をしたようです。さすが。市内の郵便局、東京中央郵便局、通販、その他何ヶ所かで買えますよ。

このアニメは四人が南極観測船に乗り込んで、南極までの大冒険をする青春感動巨編です🥺

I bought framed stamps from "A Place Further Than the Universe"! It's a set of stamps, bonus stickers, and postcards. Although they're called stamps, they're such a treasure that I can't actually use them... So the Kimari-chan tin badge I bought in a park in Tatebayashi the other day was based on this illustration. Apparently, Tatebayashi City held a ceremony to celebrate the release of these stamps. As expected. You can purchase them at post offices in the city, Tokyo Central Post Office, online, and several other locations. This anime is a moving coming-of-age epic about four people who board an Antarctic research vessel and go on a great adventure to Antarctica. 🥺

Morin-ji Temple in Tatebayashi City is an ancient temple founded in 1426. Morin-ji is known for the folktale “Bunbuku Chagama”.
Length 61.5cm (24.2in). Circa the 1960s or 1970s. #vintage
1. A pennant from Morin-ji Temple. It features an illustration printed on navy blue fabric, with two cream-colored ribbons attached to the left side of the flag. The cream-colored ribbons have faded from sun exposure, and their original color is unknown. Morin-ji is known for the folktale “Bunbuku Chagama,” in which a Japanese raccoon dog disguises itself as a monk and performs good deeds for the people. 2. The illustration depicts Morin-ji Temple and a Japanese raccoon dog performing a handstand while walking a tightrope. The flag is navy blue fabric with white outlines and is colored in light purple, blue, green. 3. Close-up of the illustration. A Japanese raccoon dog, with its head, limbs, and tail protruding from a tea kettle, holds a Japanese umbrella in one hand while performing a handstand and walking a tightrope with the other. The flowering tree depicted in the foreground is likely a azalea, the representative flower of Tatebayashi City. 4. The title is written in Japanese. 一部屋しかないので、予約するのもなかなか大変な部屋でした。
部屋のあちこちに、よりもいテーマのオブジェがありますよ🐧

素晴らしいお部屋でしたねぇ。聖地巡礼の仕上げにふさわしい宿泊場所だと思います✨
I stayed in a room at Tatebayashi Hills Hotel's signature "A Place Further Than the Universe" collaboration plan! 🏨 There's only one room, so it was quite difficult to reserve. There were Yorimoi-themed objects scattered throughout the room. 🐧 It was a wonderful room. I think it's the perfect place to end your pilgrimage! ✨
