Whaa? I love Vanity Fair. The end of TCOMC is pretty gross (he gets together with his lost love's daughter? Yuck!)

based off of the books we see, looks like he MAY have a copy of tcomc with him since it matches the look of the penguin classics cover. not entirely sure what the red book is meant to be.

Finished!!! That was something else. I liked how Fry made anagrams of names from The Count of Monte Cristo. Unlike the ending of TCoMC, this ends on a somber tone. Ned gets his revenge, but at what cost? Whereas Edmund made his peace after his revenge, it is not as easy for Ned. #Booksky

In all seriousness, this one of the reasons TCOMC is one of my top favorite books. Knowing a variety of things, being able to critically think, and a strong sense of ethics can take a person into a whole new life

You could switch over the the abridged version and just get all the juicy bits. TCoMC is satisfying story of revenge overlaid with adventure (sadly, statue 0rgy is not in the abridged)

Explaining the tcomc tv series plot points to my nana bc the show is finally available where I live and her response is, "there's too many things going on. How much crap is going on in this drama?"
Nana... tcomc... is nothing but 1400 pages of disgustingly interwoven plot points...

Penguin classics stay looking very snazzy on a shelf. I only have two (tcomc and now crime and punishment) but I kinda want to keep getting more

My current reads!
The Rise of Kyoshi by F.C. Yee (Ive been meaning to read the Avatar novels for a while)
And we’re back on chipping away at The Count of Monte Cristo
Im hoping to finish The Rise of Kyoshi either tmmr or sunday, and im hoping to have at least 10-15% out of TCoMC too

honestly shoutout to red who starts out by being like yeah you can't really summarize TCoMC. read it, if you can. any adaptation has its faults. read it.
