crosspost of a diotere comic for tdshipweek - desire
comic/description is suggestive in nature! a black & white comic with long vertical paneling. 1st panel shows a view of Twinside through a curtained window. It appears to be the night before the coup. 2nd panel shows Dion embracing Terence from behind within a palace room. A wyvern tail is in a vase on the table. 3rd panel shows Terence's hand as he grips the tablecloth, knocking the vase over. 4th panel shows him laid out facedown on the table, Dion's hands on his shoulder. There is text in the background calling back to Terence's oath: unto the very end. The following three smaller panels show Dion's hand in Terence's hair, gripping his jaw, and on his mouth, hungrily bringing him close. The next panel is a memory of Terence, his arms folded over his armor in salute, cropped close to Bahamut's symbol prominent on his chest. The following panel is back in the present moment, with Dion over Terence, staring at him with longing, the suggestion of wings/his semi prime form/a loss of control around him. The final panel is a close up on Dion kissing Terence's throat, their fingers intertwined, with the focus on Terence's face. There is no further evidence of aether/priming. There are a few scattered flower petals throughout. The narration across the panels reads: Holy Greagor, you hold ambition to be sacred. This man has offered me his love. I have taken his life. Such is the piety of a Lesage.

late crosspost for tdshipweek, divergence! a roleswap au. dion still commands the holy order, and he hands down the emperor's orders to terence, warden of light, steward of dragons...
black and white sketch of dion (labelled an astrologer) in robes, angry, with his fists balled on the table. to the right is terence, in more elaborate dragoon armor, though not nearly as expensive or delicate as dion's canon armor. his hair is longer, in the court fashion, and he holds a dragonet in his arms. he is labelled steward of dragons Black and white sketch, dion leans in to press a kiss to terence's brow. terence is kneeling and in crystal fetters. there appears to be a keyring on dion's belt. It is ambiguous as to whether dion is arriving to save terence or leaving him like this. dion says 'I will save you'.

tdshipweek | day 4 | desire

#FFXVI #FinalFantasy #tdshipweek
A digitally drawn comic page. Text reads, "Although your light effortlessly illuminates a path for the empire's people, I've seen how tirelessly you work in the shadows. I know my station well and would not dare lecture those above me, but I worry that your conviction, admirable as it is, comes at too high a cost." On the page are medical supplies and an unrolled bandage. A digitally drawn comic page. Text reads, "There are lines I cannot cross and battles you must fight alone, so if I can be of use, please know that you need only call upon me." Dion stands with lance in hand, gazing upwards. In one panel, Anabella smiles as she looks down on him. In another, Odin draws his blade. The final panel shows Terence standing at attention behind Dion, his hand over his heart. A digitally drawn comic page. Text reads, "You always put others before yourself, so none would fault you for indulging in a selfish request." Terence secures Dion's bandaged hand with a knot, and holds his hand gently. Dion then reacts in surprise. The text continues, "For it is your right to command, my prince," and Terence brings Dion's hand close to his lips. A digitally drawn comic page. The text from the previous page continues, "and my duty to fulfill, as your ever-loyal servant." Terence looks up at Dion with an unwavering gaze as he presses a kiss to Dion's hand.

A digitally drawn comic page. Text reads, "My tutors tell me that a ruler must be strong, righteous, and brave, for they must shine high above as their people's unwavering light in the darkness. I know the responsibility I carry as Sanbreque's prince, and I do not shy away from it." A young Dion holding a Wyvern's Tail flower and dressed in formal wear radiates light. A digitally drawn comic page. Text reads, "Even so, I've always wondered: despite how brightly they glow, does a ruler not feel lonely gazing from afar? Perhaps it is wrong of me to think in such a way, as my weakness too must be shouldered alone. But did you know?" Dion smiles brightly with his eyes closed. His hand is clasped in another's. A digitally drawn comic page. Text reads, "It seems a light need not exist far out of reach nor burn fiercely or blindingly bright." Dion slowly opens his eyes and stares in awe. A digitally drawn comic page. Text reads, "For I've discovered a light of my own shining next to me, and he is kind, gentle, and warm." The first panel depicts a youth's grin, and the rest of the page shows a young Terence breaking into a full smile as he is pulled along by Dion.
