Happy Halloween, Tealeaves! I hope you're all having a spooktscular day!

Tonight at the Clocktower Tea Party prepare for a spooooky steep because we'll be taking up a part time gig (but just for the night!) as a MORTUARY ASSISTANT! (≧▽≦)

I’ll call my novel character Bantock Hartshorn, a feared barrister blighted in spirit by the youthful loss of his beloved (beautiful but fragile Bess Farthingale, dead from smelling very pungent tealeaves) whose wealth is at risk after investing in a scheme to dig a railway-tunnel under the Atlantic

Election night, really. Early vote tealeaves are so hard to read well. Closest is Ralston in NV, and he got 2024 wrong, for example.

Goodnight from The Studio of the Stars of Alta California where the show has ended and the stage is wrapped in darkness. There may be more magick in tealeaves than in Madam Sosostris’s glamour, but showbiz still draws sponsors and an audience. #The_Reluctant_Ascent_of_Nevil_Warbrook

Crucial #Chinese Communist Party’s Fifth Plenum concludes on Thursday. Looking to see what spills out of the meetings as they are supposed to be closed door sessions. May be a hint of the next king? #TeaLeaves

I just don’t believe they’re unable to work what’s wrong with Mince, he’s not presenting with a mystery tropical disease, *a tree fell on him*

Are they not able to do x-rays and CT scans at Borchester General or do they actively prefer to rely on reading tealeaves

The DSA and some Progressives will move Democrats left - toward russia. Like MAGA moved Republicans. I'm reading the tealeaves. Europe should too. America First Isolationism is being pushed on the young from the left to the right. If Russia ends it might, though china may continue the propaganda

A pro-government Iranian newspaper, Iran Daily, republished my recent E-International Relations article. I explore why on Substack:

Dates and data are so sparse, that trying get proof from then is like submitting evidence from mouldy tealeaves.
(Also I'm out of reach of my PC, so getting down to CVS (!) repos is hindered)

Yet the donation doesn't look like coincidence […]

XD I think I felt like this half a year ago.
So far it is still cozy here.
Though I did read a piece two days ago that bc of El Niño, the autumn might get very wet (yay) and the winter very cold (not quite so yay when I think of the last two utility bills...). But who knows, it's reading tealeaves

I gather most people discover what's going on it politics by looking at tealeaves or reading the stars.

Thanks for the question, man. Tried to read some tealeaves and take a bigger picture/wider view on a suddenly desperate and evolving situation there.

You said 'I gather most people discover what's going on it politics by looking at tealeaves or reading the stars.' which means they don't get it from the news media

really funny how election bsky is busy reading tealeaves to stay busy even though the modt important factor, GAS HIGH, is unchanged

I guess it that time of the year. Something warm to drink on those clear days. What a great way to spend the evening heading over and having your tealeaves read.

Or…. it’s a bunch of tealeaves looking to nick some red diesel….

Being Old™, I had to stretch my brain to think did we even say it with teapots and tealeaves and came up with a no, we just waited before pouring the tea.

My tealeaves say Somalia will be in the Turkiye/Egypt/Saudi team.

Uganda, which is leaving Somalia by year end courtesy of Turkiye, will be on the UAE aligned side.

The numbers in this really are dire for Farage.
Although actually less dire than the data from YouGov that was mostly about England.
Is that because he's been avoiding public attention in Wales?

They will largely be the 200,000 from overseas citizens, plus the early votes that weren't delivered on time. People are trying to read the tealeaves about whether overseas voters will lean rightwing or not.

Countdown to the inevitable low score that Pitchfork gives to every new Miley Cyrus album. 🙄

They will hate on her until the tealeaves tell them that the culture is approaching a point where loving Miley will be, somehow, cool.
