Finally got my new creation space up in my new home. Decided to learn how to throw jars with lids. I'm experimenting with different shapes first. This will be a small tea jar.

Well, who’s a fancy flapjack? We make jars, too! This one’s about 10in tall. Acrylics, ink, metallic inks and powders, and many layers of lacquer. We’re particularly happy with the crazing at the bottom.

Here’s a work in progress. A jar we created, with hubs doing the wood turning and lacquering, and I painted it. More sanding and lacquer to follow before it gets detached from its base.
