Waiting for the gold paint to dry. My not-so-secret-sauce for gold shading is Agrax Earthshade Gloss wash. Gives dark shadows of rich brown without killing the golden glow of highlights. Bretonnian thrower knight still WIP but moving forward.

Got the urge to get to new edition games fast - so bringing out the Army Painter Speed Paints for the Bretonnian team. Head swapped from Imperial Nobility sprue.

When it comes to the kitbashing business - head swaps are like the vanilla flavor, nice touch but nothing spectacular. So this lineman got also his feet swapped from Imperial Nobility sprue.

The Norse legacy remains visible in the region's language, culture, place names and certain facial features. Norse exerted their influence over the local Bretonnian populations.

Getting the team colors on this kitbashed Blood Bowl miniature.

And so it begins… First miniature build from this year’s new edition box of Blood Bowl. There are two head options in the sprue, but I think this Norse head goes nicely with combative pose of this Bretonnian squire lineman.

Bretonnian Squires form half of the roster. They are all around solid players with MV of 6 and with Wrestle skill they might make blitz or two during the game when other positionals are tied up elsewhere. 50k price tag is cheap considering their ability.

First game of the new Blood Bowl edition under the belt. Bretonnian knights managed a 1-1 tie with the Skaven rats. Wrestle is mighty good skill on the linemen and I think the two gutter runners on Skaven is just fine.

Castle doors open and out poured knights of various orders. First out were the nimble handed throwers - they sure could make the ball fly across the gridiron. Still WIP but calling them table top ready anyways.
