#televangelists
From televangelists' lips to pagan goddesses's ears, and here's General Jinjur of Oz for an illustration of how nice a girl army could be, pegging optional (and do televangelists really talk like that?).

Televangelists ask for your money 'in My name,' but trust me, I haven’t seen a dime of it—those private jets don’t pay for themselves.

I've compared Trump to Televangelists.

No, that's not a compliment: it's an indictment of his (lack of) character.

That “HE GETS US” ad is funded by an extreme right wing org. Using Johnny Cash’s cover of Depeche Mode’s “Personal Jesus” - a scathing critique of right-wing televangelists preying on the unwary - is a spectacular self-own.

No shit. These televangelists are no closer to God than any average person. They're just better at selling him than most.

I grew up having to watch televangelists. I know one when I see one. Tammy Faye would like some credit.

Anyone Trump-aligned or Trump-adjacent is toxic to the rest of the world. We are the only country with enough people that think the malignant narcissist, criminal, and moronic two-bit con man should be in charge. It’s the same reason why televangelists have always thrived here.

This is actually the most common type of Christian-identitying person. Politicians, televangelists, etc

Specifically, *right-wing white evangelicals* have been fed decades of lies by a hyperorganized apparatus of political organizations, churches, televangelists, and related organizations and influencers that a liberal, pluralistic, diverse democracy is in direct conflict with their religious freedom.
No. Christians feel persecuted because there is a vast media apparatus telling them that they are persecuted. There is no evidence whatsoever of large-scale discrimination against Christians in this country.
Interesting story that gets to the heart of why many Christians feel persecuted in the U.S.: The secular elite find many of their views abhorrent and uncouth

Has any big name band done a tour where the theme is basically emulating megachurches/televangelists?
October 3, 2026 at 11:27 PM
No wonder they're wealthy. Televangelists are basically preaching to acquire.

Imagine being too corrupt for televangelists.
August 20, 2025 at 8:40 PM
You can understand Trump's confusion here, as his exposure to "Christians" has mostly been a collection of grasping televangelists and other assorted religious conmen who regularly gather to lay their hands on him and call him the chosen instrument of God as the cameras roll.
Maybe Trump did not comprehend the gravity of the matter since he only started hanging out with conservative Christians when it became politically advantageous for him to do so.
