The DJ in my apartment is doing a bang-up job tonight.

3 years ago today, Riot Games offered me a job making more money than I ever thought I’d make in my life. I had 19 interviews over 2.5 months to get it. Partner and I were moving to LA for it. I put in notice at my job and apartment.

2 weeks later they rescinded the offer due to “headcount issues”.

This is Princess. She and her human work hard every day collecting trash at an apartment building. It is an often thankless job, but one kind resident thought the pair should know how much they are appreciated, and that Princess should get a uniform too. 13/10 for all (TT: oliviaolp)

"Just buy an EV" is the most privileged response to high gas prices, ever. If you think that is a solution, you've obviously never lived in an apartment building and depended on your 10 year old Corolla to get to your minimum wage job, just to survive.

hey boss. yeah i'm gonna be late again for my job in Myst world, where we live. i forgot which combination of the sixteen valve handwheels in my apartment opens the front door again

I think a lot of nostalgia for the 90s and 00s comes from wanting a society where a 20 something can afford a shitty apartment with a shitty job, and you could get a shitty job.

this is your fucking job that you're being paid to do. Imagine asking your plumber to stop your dishwasher from flooding your apartment and he's like "well what exactly do you want me to do?" The specifics are your part dog idk!

Trump stiffed Rudy on his legal fees from 2019-21. $2 million. Rudy ran all over the country filing lawsuits & appeals. It cost him his job at law firm, his law license, his apartment & everything he owns. Trump, despite raising over $200 million for it, never paid Rudy A PENNY.

It's time to expand the Airbud franchise to put talented dogs into additional job positions: Apartment Manager, Air Traffic Controller, Secretary of State

We need rent control nationwide. A person doing a full time job ought to be able to afford an efficiency apartment at the minimum, with money left over for food, etc.

This effectively forces every trans person in the state to out themselves while applying for a job, renting an apartment, or being stopped by police. It's part of the same law that allows anyone to sue anyone else they suspect of being trans and using the "wrong" bathroom.
1. Numerous transgender people in Kansas are reporting that the state has sent them a letter demanding the immediate surrender of drivers licenses.

Those driving could be arrested, charged, and see privileges revoked.

Anyway, I highly recommend seeing Olivia Wilde's version of The Odyssey, The Invite, which does a great job of fidelity to the original within the confines of a modern apartment.

The bartender was a friend of a coworker who I had been out with, among others. By Monday everyone at work knew what happened. And our (male) head of production told me not to take any time off because it would cause problems for the project.

I abandoned my job and apartment and fled the country.

The first step of furnishing my LA Apartment is complete. I have a place to rest my head and a place to sit & eat. When I return I finish the job!

Update: after considerable thought and prayer, I must respectfully decline the papacy. I read Pope Francis lived in a humble apartment with a twin bed and had less than $100 to his name when he died. The job just doesn't pay enough for me.

A Venice film festival with a dash of genocidal invasion and a smell of burnt apartment buildings in the air. Good job, Venice.

As terrifying as it is my god this shit is so pathetic. Dressing up like you're a space marine to go storm the apartment of some random construction or restaurant worker or any kind of job you can imagine. Keeping the real Americans safe from tables of fresh fruit. I'd rather turn the gun on myself.
NEW: Federal immigration officials launched their first high-profile raids in NYC under President Donald Trump.

A motorcade of heavily militarized federal agents converged at the parking lot of the Bronx Terminal Market in the pre-dawn hours Tuesday morning.
Dramatic Arrests Rattle Bronx and Upper Manhattan
Federal authorities detained at least four people in a series of early morning arrests tweeted out across government X accounts.

That's how we got this guy.

2 years old, never neutered until surrendered. His person lost her job, gave up her apartment, moved back in with mom, no pets allowed. He was stressed, challenging, and fearful.

His first gotcha day will be December 5, 2026.
Look at the difference!

He's holding his fish plushie as if it was a briefcase because hunting toys around the apartment is a very important job.

In 1999 I earned $8/hr & paid $600/month for a nice 1-bdrm apartment in PDX. I earned approx. $1,200/month to make rent. Today that same apt is almost $2,500/month & that same job pays $15/hr which amounts to approx. $2,080/month. It’s time to burn it all down & fixed the rigged system.

this also means not getting the job. not getting the apartment. if there's a person who's even half as qualified who also wants it, they're getting it, not you

Am I the only one who has a hard time working an essential job barely getting by while people are earning a six figure income by sharing what they ate in a day? Something is seriously wrong when teachers are living in cars while a guy videos himself eating for free and can buy an NYC apartment.
