Following our £60,500 grant to @ShropWildlife, beavers have returned to Shropshire after 400 years! Our funding supported the purchase, care & relocation of these eco-engineers to the Old River Bed in Shrewsbury.

Lovely to see our duck family enjoying Darnford Moors Ecology Park. This section has only been in water since 2023, yet it’s already flourishing. 🪶

Brilliant to hear Lewisham Council have been awarded £50,000 by The Veolia Environmental Trust to transform Friendly Gardens park in Deptford.

From wildflower meadows to accessible paths and a wildlife pond, this will be a huge improvement for local access to nature.

We were honoured to host a visit from the board of Biffa Award at Darnford Moors Ecology Park. They came to see what their funding has helped to achieve.

Some of them had visited for before and were amazed to see how the ecology has taken shape since then.

Our Grants Manager Martin got hands on with the new play equipment at the @nationaltrust.org.uk Moseley Old Hall site.

Darnford Moors Ecology Park has both water and land habitats.

The coppice area is full of habitats and food sources with the planting we've carried out, the dead hedging we've created and the old lock too.

All of this has been supported by Biffa Award #TheLCF.

On Tuesday, our Trustees met at the Speke Training & Education Centre in Liverpool.

They awarded 28 conditional grants of just over £1.5M via #TheLCF for community & environmental projects.

The funding will improve wellbeing, enhance biodiversity, and reduce CO2 emissions.
