The Fastbacks played a VERY RARE show at Bottom of the hill back in 2011. Not only that, but The Muffs co-headlined! 2 of my favorite bands on one show! So happy. As much as I hate BOTH’s lat…

Ships worldwide from Japan. Tracked and packed with care.

It’s another late one, and an audio one at that. I will probably take another shot at transferring this one as it doesn’t sound very good. I even EQ’d it twice to get some of that…

• Limited pressing on Opaque Red vinyl. • Packaging contains essays and commentary from the entire band. • Still available on CD with bonus tracks. Their sophomore release gets bigger and better! The Muffs’ debut hit the scene in 1993, and was an instant smash. Any fear that they could follow it up successfully was answered when Blonder And Blonder arrived two years later. Now a three piece, The Muffs again teamed up with producer Rob Cavallo (Green Day, Paramore, Fleetwood Mac) and delivered 14 even better Kim Shattuck penned powerhouses, including the hit single “Sad Tomorrow.” Bassist Ronnie Barnett and new drummer Roy McDonald propelled Shattuck’s material to even greater heights, and Blonder became the band’s biggest selling album. Now available as a limited pressing on opaque red vinyl! Like 2015’s reissue of The Muffs, the full-color packaging includes photos, drawings, memorabilia, and essays from Barnett and McDonald, as well as, track-by-track commentary from Shattuck. All these years later, Blonder And Blonder still sounds as vital and visceral as it did upon its original release. Face it, you’re dye-ing to have this record in your collection.

Mark Murray comes through again with his master recording of The Muffs. I am a huge fan, and I was living in L.A. when this show happened, so big thanks to Mark for sharing! Recorded by: Mark Murra…

Here’s more from my VHS collection. This one was on the same tape as that Club Lingerie tape. I guess I mis-labeled that Lingerie tape as a multicam and someone got super excited about the er…

Big thanks to Alan Bruce for asking me to dig this one out of the VHS piles. It had 2 Muffs shows on the tape and neither seem to be out there. I could have sworn that this one was on Youtube but I…

I thought I was done with Scott Hamilton’s collection, but I was trying to clean the studio (an impossible task) and found 1 more tape. This one sounds really good for The Palace- that place …

This one did not sound good at all when I digitized it. In fact, I could not make out the songs due to all of the distortion. Once I found a song I could understand, I did my best to EQ it in Sony …

Collections post time- this one from Scott Hamilton, who sent over a small box of (mainly) Muffs stuff. Thanks Scott! Kim passed away today, 6 years ago today. I remember the shock of seeing the po…

It’s a collections post! This one from Rick Sylvain’s KALX collection. I was planning on continuing the Acoustic songs that I had been doing the last couple of months from Rick, but jus…

NEW collection from Scott Hamilton. It’s 6 tapes, but it has a bunch of Muffs so it warrants an announcement! Thanks Scott for sending the tapes over. I knew that UCSB had bands in studio on …
