Snails:

The snail with the rope is Phil. Phil is thinking “REVENGE!!”. The snails are asleep on cushions, the closest one has a purple sleep mask, and is holding a plush snail curled up in their tail. There is a folded paper sign by their head that says “do not disturb until 11am.”. In the background, the sun is rising. Top left, a gold outlined sign says “The Mysterious Mystery Of The Very Loud Bell That Woke Everyone Up, heh, heh, heh: a Novel by Phil the Snail”. Bottom right, an inset drawing of Phil’s eyes glaring says “Phil never forgives.” Phil thought long and hard about the revenge he would wreak on the snails who had mocked him when he had a blind date, drank too much wine, and got a hangover. Unfortunately, he thought about it so long, all the other snails had completely forgotten about the whole thing. Phil doesn’t care. (How is that bell loop hanging up there? Who knows the ways of snails.)
