Hypothetical mating postures in two therocephalian dinosaurs. The first is a pair of mating Polacanthus, an ankylosaur from Early Cretaceous Europe
The second is a drawing of a mating pair of Stegosaurus from Late Jurassic North America

From Middle to Late Permian Karoo Formation, South Africa, "wolf crocodile" is a genus of middle sized therocephalian known from complete skulls and a few postcranial remains. It shows double canines, likely the result of being fossilized mid tooth replacement

From Late Permian South Africa and China, "Chambers' good animal" was a small therocephalian therapsid known from skull material. It's canines contain grooves that have (among other things) been suggested to hint at it being venomous

In my world they are both! Inspired by this very debate, I think of them as bipedal therocephalians (see image), which are an evolutionary bridge between reptiles and mammals. Bonus: there's evidence that some of them may have been venemous.

Done from memory, meant to be like a therocephalian, though the tail is not right at all after I checked xd.

In my variation, however, they're therocephalian like adaptations of that goblinoids line.

i was wondering if there were any permian therapsids that evolved to an aquatic lifestyle & i couldnt find anything
i tried to imagine how an early transitional form like that would look like, taking inspiration from therocephalian & early cetacean body plan
