Thinkings about this some more, the age difference strikes me. The old guard Dems ... like REALLY old guard Dems can't bring themselves to break the civility thing. Young Dems like Ossoff, EAS and so on have had enough of this BS. They're ready to fight.
I haven't trusted my gut since 2016, so take this with salt. But in every debate I've seen, the D's are attacking and the GOPers are incredibly bumblingly defensive. This is not a dynamic I'm used to.
