Aktueller El Niño ist stärkster der modernen Messreihe. Wärmeanomalie des äquatorialen Pazifiks übertrifft bereits Super-El-Niño von 1997/98, obwohl Höhepunkt erst in einigen Monaten erwartet wird. El Niño 2023/24, der extreme globale Erwärmung antrieb, war nach diesem Maßstab nur moderat. 😑

I think the real question is—if the PM says he’s working 20 hours a day… can he count? And what’s the turnover rate in his office? Because either he’s stretching the truth, or his staff are running for the exits. Then again, maths isn’t this government’s strong suit.
