As I turned fifty, I took a little trip to meet a childhood idol/ creative hero over the weekend. If you have any interest here's some thoughts I jotted down about getting to meet my favorite actor and enjoying childhood in middle age.

i tried to take a picture of the obscenely long eyebrow hair I just trimmed (seriously, it was long enough to curl) but it was also multicolored and I couldn't get it to show up on camera. just trust me, it was amazing. #thisis50

I posted this as a (half) joke last year, got “you go, girl” and “OMG I feel this” messages (although they got worried about me until the end). Getting to a certain age is liberating. #nomorefuckstogive #growingold #turning50
