Pleased to see new displays of tatreez and thobes in Bristol’s Palestine museum. It’s the only such museum in England. Must visit if you haven’t already!

also. idk. robes being feminine (or perceived as a dress even) is a very western take i think. like, thobes, djellabas, agbadas, jebbas, galabeyas, hanboks, ghos, áo dàis, kimonos, deels, chapans, and even sarees are all unisex or male clothing.....

Muslims will be going to Eid prayer this morning. Dressed in their nicest thobes, suits, hijabs, dresses, etc… All the ladies either have henna or they are getting henna today. Then everyone is going to get coffee after prayer, including me! 😁
