I’ve recently completed this #linocut for the #ThoughtPressProject printmakers’ charity fundraiser, this year raising money for #EdibleRotherhithe (the annual organisers) and @centrepointuk.bsky.social It’s the view from my childhood home in Cardiff. #TheresNoPlaceLikeHome is the theme.
A view across the backs of houses towards a low hill in the distance. There is the right hand side of a brick chimney taking up the extreme left of the picture, in the centre of the image are receding garden walls with ridge-roofed garages at the left hand ends (these back on to a lane which is suggested by a gap) and the right hand side has the backs of the two-storey terrace.

A bit about my most popular print 'Three Hares', originally created for #ThoughtPressProject

The #ThreeHares motif has existed since C7th - found in China, The Middle East, Europe & in the churches of Devon (where it is known locally as #TinnersRabbits).

Printing up some of my lighthouse linocut today, created for #ThoughtPressProject. I've printed these in a greyish blue, which I really like but it turns out it doesn't photograph well! It's much bluer in real life than in the picture.

It's a collaboration of 100 UK printmakers, creating & donating prints for charity. It was set up by @paper.fight.art on IG in 2021 (as a response to lockdown) and it's been such a lovely thing to be a part of! I've taken over a lot of the organising now & manage the IG account @thoughtpressproject.
