More than 100 days after the war began, we still do not know if or how Trump will be able to reverse strategic blunder. Whatever benefits Iran reaps (e.g., tolls, blackmailing the world) from shutting down transit will be entirely attributable to an ill-conceived war only Trump dumb enough to start.
Trump and his bumbling negotiators did not force Iran to end its nuclear program or turn over enriched materials.
