Vernier thrusters….. :)

V1’s thrusters failed in 2004. NASA somehow figured out a way to revive them. That’s incredible.

Imagine starting a car that hadn't run in 21 years, that's 15 billion miles away in interstellar space. That's what the NASA team just did with Voyager's thrusters. People are amazing. jpl.nasa.gov/news/nasas-v...

How cool is this. Voyager 1 is coasting in interstellar space, more than 48 years & 25 billion miles from Earth. Its back-up manoeuvring thrusters failed more than 2 decades ago. But @NASAJPL have GOT THEM WORKING AGAIN!!!! www.jpl.nasa.gov/news/nasas-v...
NASA’s Voyager 1 Revives Backup Thrusters Before Command Pause
The mission team wanted to fix the thrusters, deemed unusable decades ago, before the radio antenna that sends commands to the probe went offline for upgrades.

This comet: “Initiate reverse thrusters!”
A cosmic first! 🚨

Hubble has spotted a comet that slowed and reversed its spin. Outgassing jets acted like thrusters, literally pushing it into a new rotation, shown here in this science visualization: https://news.stsci.edu/4c2u6hv

Idk, but hip thrusters seem appropriate for Hump Day

Engineers at NASA’s Jet Propulsion Laboratory in Southern California have revived a set of thrusters aboard the Voyager 1 spacecraft that had been considered inoperable since 2004.

The little grey globes are VTOL thrusters, there'd be some round the back too.

Bug mech from six years ago. The elytrons (yes, I just looked that up now) provide armour for the thrusters.
