Here's a handy guide to some electronic components.

An art fight piece done for @stinkvali.bsky.social 's protogen Thyristor. I had a lot of fun getting to draw a protogen once again and think the piece turned out well.

Ongewassen Perenboom!! Driehoeksverhouding zonder veter!! Palindroom!! Lekkende Thyristor!!

Trying to get packed to move out of here and I found this stupid thing...

Old thyristor is out

You can definitely see where it overheated and burned the board

Mildly unhinged, but it works?

Yeah ok - either a phase shifter or something thyristor-based generally. Complicated and expensive either way

I inherited my Kenwood chef from my mother, according to the plate on the bottom it's a 1956 model. I've had to service the gearbox and replace the thyristor and capacitor in the speed controller but it's still going strong after 70 years.

THYRISTOR

Nostalgic hearing the whine from Carl's Zoom Thyristor flash, which could charge quickly from four AA batteries. Besides, I love saying "Zoom Thyristor." #MeTVKolchak
