Thywen isn’t Tarinne’s biological father. She’s never even met her other biological parent.

If Tarinne's mother were still alive she'd be... weird about Cathala bc Cathala isn't "kaldorei enough" for her. Tarinne's father Thywen is cool with her though. Actually he's sort of become a surrogate dad to Cathala since hers died 😭

Cathala's family was always very happy for the two of them.

In contrast Thywen moved to Stormwind after the Third War (in which Alorinde was killed) and has been running a leatherwares shop there ever since. Tarinne still doesn’t get why he moved so far from “their home”, Thywen stopped trying to explain it to her years ago, but they love each other anyway.

The exact sexualities of Thywen (Tarinne's father), Kynriel (Cathala's mother), Talidis (Cathala's father), and Alarien (Cathala's sister) are currently undecided.

Beyond that, I don't think I'm forgetting anyone...

Thywen was one of a handful of longtime partners to Tarinne’s mother. He and Alorinde eventually even married. He’s been there since Tarinne’s teens and for all intents and purposes, he IS her father.

Tarinne’s father, though not her actual bio father. He moved to Stormwind and opened a leatherwares shop shortly after the Third and has lived there since. Though they don’t always see eye to eye, he and his daughter are still quite close, especially after Teldrassil.

But no seriously it's important to me that Cathala and Tarinne are living humbly at best. What nice things they have were gifts, and most of those are in their Ashenvale house that they haven't stepped foot in since before Teldrassil. In Stormwind they're scraping by with a lot of help from Thywen.

16. It’s All So Incredibly Loud

I take some liberties with the meaning of the song but for me it’s from the POV of her father Thywen when he ran home one summer day and told her the town crier said Teldrassil was burning.

5 - Her father Thywen moved to Stormwind after the 3rd War and she visits him frequently, which is why she knows the human language at all. She got a lot of mercenary work there too - her biggest adventure before meeting Cathala was sailing to Northrend during the events of Wrath.
