According to the Ming text "Yu Xie (玉屑)", cats were said to have arrived in China with Tang Sanzang on his journey to the Western Kingdom of Tianzhu.
Brought to guard Buddhist scriptures from mice, they weren’t native to China and were thought to dislike the climate—cold-nosed year-round, 1/2

I was looking around for more works by Qin Tianzhu, and I learned that the post above is a detail of a larger work.

I still can't find a title or a date. (Qin Tianzhu was born in 1952, which gives an approximate date.) I took a flyer on Google Translate being able to read the text, but no luck.

In #Wukong and the Jade Rabbit from Journey to the West, the Jade Rabbit escapes the Moon Palace, kidnaps the princess of Tianzhu, and dons her form to trick a king into hosting a bridal contest.
Her true goal? Marry Tang Sanzang and drain his life essence.
But Sun Wukong isn’t

Tibetan White Yak - The Snow White Yak is the rarest color phase of Yak in the world. In China and Tibet they figure their numbers to be around 3% of the population, with the vast majority of those residing in Tianzhu Tibet, there almost all of their yaks are white!

The Grand Chinese Dictionary 漢語大辭典 doesn't have an entry for Yindu 印度 (India in Modern Chin.), but only entries for Indian Ocean 印度洋, Hinduism 印度教, etc.! The earliest reference to India (which in medieval times was often called Tianzhu 天竺) as Yindu is 7th century.
