Tigo Ware - 'Sisters' plate (1950's)
#artpottery #pottery #tiborreich #denbypottery #tigoware
A round dinner plate with a black background. Etched onto the plate is a stylised group of three female faces only the centre one is shown in full, the other two as if looking from over her shoulder, one on each side. The etching reveals that the plate is white beneath so the faces of the 'sisters' appear similar to chalk drawings on a blackboard.
