In DQ10's case, the Guiding Hand (our avatar) is not the hero, but was born with timewarping powers. And they only obtain their "place" as a god when becoming the Demon Lord (yes, the lore of DQ10 goes to interesting places) and killing the corrupt God of Time that used their father against them.

And we need to distinguish "frame generation" (ASW) from "Timewarp" (ATW for Oculus).
IIRC, SteamVR and VD do not do timewarping. They only do frame interpolation, which is why it can suck.
ATW is constantly reprojecting, and worked best on the Rift CV1.

it would be the most spectacular capstone to anything i do in kerbal, building on the original eve and duna expeditions, the sustainable mun+minmus surface ops, it would be such a show. but my save rules and ethos are against timewarping during its cruise, so i'd have to find stuff to do

it used to really freak me out as a kid! i have a pretty big fear of messing with Communication; i always want to know what people are saying. and trying to understand a sped-up voice (+ not having good audio processing) could be really overstimulating to my autism (1/3)

it still gets me so bad how they take away ekko's timewarping at the end bc only the rich people are allowed to stay in power. his entire champion pitch is gone. not even that stays. he is permanently a normal guy now because changing the status quo is not allowed
