#2: Parade in the Sky: Ottawa had a large number of flypasts this year to celebrate RCAF100. The largest flypast featured 50 aircraft from the RCAF's past, present, and future, starting with the de Havilland DH-60M Gipsy Moth, the oldest airworthy formerly RCAF aircraft.

#5: RAF Typhoon Display Team: Spectacle Aérien International de Bagotville featured the North American debut of the RAF Typhoon Display Team, featuring Moggy, their specially painted D-Day themed jet. The topside of the jet is displayed here.

#7: Martin Mars: In July, I was on Vancouver Island en route to Tofino when I came across a huge number of parked cars on the road next to Sproat Lake. Investigating, it was found that Coulson Aviation was hosting an Open House for their Martin Mars water bombers!

#3: CL-415 Water Bomber: The last time I witnessed a water bomber perform a water landing was the last time they were present at the Canadian International Air Show in 2008.. one year before I picked up a camera and pointed it at a plane for the first time.

#honourablemention: F-15C Departure: With so many moments this year, I couldn't forget about this gem from departure day at Airshow London, when a 173rd Fighter Wing F-15C banked sharply after takeoff producing vapes just above ground level.

#4: RCAF CF-18 Demo Formations: With this year being the RCAF100 year, one of the many features of this was formations of all sorts with the CF-18 Demo Team, adorned in the RCAF100 livery. Here is a compilation of the various formations throughout the year.

#8: Maple Hawk: In August, the RAF Red Arrows embarked on a five week long tour to Canada named Maple Hawk 2024. I was able to attend six of the stops, with the first of these being in Toronto at the Canadian International Air Show.

#6: Frecce Tricolori: Another demonstration team that visited Canada on tour this year was the famous Frecce Tricolori. With their coloured green, white, and red smoke, their display is as pretty as it is masterful. It feels like watching art in the sky.

#9: E-4B Nightwatch: Airshow London seems to have a good track record lately of bringing in rare air assets, and this year that included a the first public flying display of the USAF E-4B Nightwatch, sometimes nicknamed "The Doomsday Plane" due to its role.
