🐑 Finally got around to formatting my Appalachian Achin' zine for web, which can be found in my ko-fi shop for those interested.

ko-fi.com/s/bc00f0bdc6

A short exploration about how home changes every time I visit.

#furry #furryart #furryzine #zines #appalachia
Two pages of a zine. Page 1 features a sad and tired looking donkey resting on their crossed arms. It reads in wiggly font: Appalchian Achin' (thoughts about home.). Behind the donkey is a backdrop of peach trees. Page 2: The donkey looks bummed out in a simple frame with a background of trees. The frame is breaking apart and the trees are disappearing into the white void of the page. It says: Sometimes I get homesick. (But that home no longer exists.) Home Trending Live feeds Notifications Lists Followed hashtags Favorites Bookmarks Collections Private mentions Preferences App settings Trending now #MeerMittwoch 16 creatures in the past 2 days #TuneTuesday 56 creatures in the past 2 days #togsandclogs 52 creatures in the past 2 days Alt text Page 3: The donkey looks shocked but happy to have a lightning bug land on its snout as it's catching some of the few flying around them. "I miss catching lightning bugs. (There's fewer every year.)" Page 4: The donkey is retreating from a peach field with a bag over their shoulder full of peaches. "Stealing fresh peaches from groves of trees." Page 5: A pair of hands grabs ripe blackberries from the bushes. "And picking buckets of wild blackberries. (It's all housing developments now.)" Page 6: The same donkey sighs. Yet again, some of the background which is composed of activities they did growing up fades into a void while they look sad about the fact. "The list goes on." Page 7: The donkey looks over a cold and corporate rectangle of a structure. The frame is now less whimsical and just a flat square. "My heart aches for Appalachia. But it's slowly being exchanged for "luxury apartments" and data centers for AI." Page 8: The donkey is peering out from a porch with a tin roof as rain falls. Information on where to find the zine is below. queerlydeparted.net ko-fi.com/baasphemous

It's #tunetuesday and today's topic #togsandclogs is all about songs that mention clothes, shoes and footwear.

Does the song actually need to be about clothes? Close enough.

Another doozy of a theme for #tunetuesday, clothes and shoes or, even better,
#togsandclogs

Leonard Cohen's Famous Blue Raincoat has been covered by many, perhaps most famously by Jennifer Warnes. Go listen to her whole album of the same name, but come back to hear this by Joan Baez […]

This week's #tunetuesday theme is #togsandclogs. One of the first songs that I came up with is this teen pop classic:

Ginny Arnell: I Wish I Knew What Dress to Wear (1964)
