Like the only reason they could rest at Tolovana was because everyone would be able to rest at Tolovana. So how do you then turn around and deny resources to some of the teams?? It's in their own damn rules!

Wild domestic bunnies like this are very common in Cannon Beach. They're heavily concentrated in the Tolovana Park neighborhood, which is where this picture is from.

Mary Knight bought the Tolovana Roadhouse and is setting up a hospitality stop for Iditarod teams. It's not on the road system and a little difficult to get to, so it should be a nice, quiet, calm spot to get a little rest and get set up for three runs Nenana -> Tanana. No drop bags, tho.

#4 most faved observation in 2024 is a cool view of Haystack Rock on the Oregon coast, with a mass stranding of by-the-wind sailors (Velella velella), observed by pondgators in March. When not being washed up in the thousands, these beautiful blue guys live at the “water-air interface”...
