When I first saw this cat called Tombili, I thought how charming it was.
Sadly, Tombili passed away in 2016 and those who loved her made a statue.
If I ever get the chance to go to Istanbul, I'd like to say hello to Tombili. 💕

Atlas Obscura has a nice article on Internet sensation Tombili, the Feline Monarch of Istanbul. Be sure to stop by and pay your respects if you visit the City of Cats.

Tombili

(I think "Chonky" might be a good translation for the name.)
