TONJIRU RECIPE serves 4 comfortably! 1 lbs thin-slice pork 1 fullsize gobou root like half a pound of daikon radish a couple good sized carrots like idk Several Potatoes half a whole block of toufu a really badass and/or sexy miso paste teaspoon msg Some(?) sesame oil some dashi. like a handful amount PRE-PREP- think about people you are about to feed and their considerations. sub as necessary- but it's called Tonjiru dude. pork and gobou are Mostest essential part of this soupy.. shave bald all gobou, carrot, daikon and potato. chop potato to cubular, bitesize chunks. gobou and carrot should be cut into rounds skewed at 45 degree angle across entire length. daikon is cut into thicker rounds before being quartered from said rounds. 1. use large pot. something like dutch oven is good for this job. heat to medium and drizzle some sesame oil into. enough to give the pork and gobou a good time but not enough to drench. cook until pork shows symptoms of browning but not fully susceptible. make sure none of the meat is red. 2. dump carrot and daikon in. let them get all sizzly. your kitchen should smell nice. wait until all the water exits the veggies. Now is time for Fucked Up. dump enough Nice water in to cover most all contents, and wait until it becomes Simmer all politely to pull stove down to Low. you can fish out all the oil at top but if you do not Respect these thoughts refuse this idea. 3. just simmer it for like 5 minutes i guess. listen to Bright Green Fields by Squid. doesn't he sound like chased by Garden's Hose? anyways. now is time for you to put in Potatoe. Potato takes a bit so keep pot simmering for 15 minute or so. just enough time to think about how much these Squid guys really like Radiohead, huh.

おすす（お寿司）は我慢しましたが、味噌カツ食ってビールも飲んだ。あと昨日と同じカボチャとネギの豚汁。

I resisted sushi, but went for miso katsu and had a beer. Also the same tonjiru with pumpkin and green onions as yesterday.

投稿し忘れてたけど昨日の晩ごはんは鰯明太、豚汁ラスト、ごはん。
今日の朝ごはんは納豆卵ごはんでした。

Forgot to post it, but last night’s dinner was iwashi mentaiko, the final bowl of tonjiru, and rice.
This morning’s breakfast was natto egg over rice.

朝ごはん、昨日と同じ豚汁雑煮とカフェオレ。
昼ごはん、豚汁とご飯と花山椒（花椒ではない。山椒の花）の佃煮。

豚汁お代わりしようと思ったけど食物繊維が多すぎるからか無理でした。アイスは入るぞ。

Breakfast was the same tonjiru-zōni as yesterday, plus a café au lait. （tonjiru = pork miso soup / zōni = mochi soup） Lunch was tonjiru, rice, and *hanasanshō* tsukudani (flower buds of Japanese sansho—different from Sichuan pepper). Wanted seconds, but too much fiber… ice cream still fits though.
