Glamorous Black Morel

Saw this mushroom I thought of a beehive hairdo! Black Morel mushrooms are a well loved ingredient in many foods. They are part of the Morchellaceae family and are just one of many types of Morels. Find a bunch of them and you've got a jackpot!

Helvella lacunosa, commonly called grey elfin saddle/slate grey saddle. This mushroom is tiny and non-edible. I love the vein-like textured stem and it's fun to come up ways to mimic it with clothes. My mushroom army grows once more.

I adore her. She's just too adorable!! She's standing on a bottle cap that catches the moonlight just right. I should really decide how small I want my characters based on mushrooms to be

My baby buttons! I get a real 60s vibe with them. Button mushrooms, Baby Bellas, Flat mushrooms and Portobellos are all in the Agaricus family. Button mushrooms get darker as they mature.
