I run a copy in every deck with blue, it's not flashy but it's solid. Being able to fix the topdeck or get that card you need in response can't be underestimated

The adults mostly kept it under wraps. I believe only the teenagers knew about it because we personally witnessed her get helicoptered out; the "teen hangout zone" was topdeck and open later than other amenities.

Been saying this since forever. Too many players are convinced that they 100% deserved it because of their skills when they win, but when they lose it's always "I got flooded/screwed, you got so lucky, good topdeck bro". It's always sad to see.
If you tend to blame your failings in Magic on variance while attributing successes to skill, you'll never become a good player.

The rot travels up from the roots, and eats the game slowly. Much as it sucks for a better player to take a cheap loss from a lucky topdeck, you need those small underdog victories to keep the playerbase stable.
