PMD was too forgiving since you retained levels.

I can see why they went with an RPG-style leveling system, but yeah.

I’m just about done with Torneko Mystery Dungeon (I thought there was more to the post-game, but it’s just “do the dungeon again but with even MORE RNG bullshit”) and need suggestions for my next Switch game. I prefer casual titles I can play while watching Twitch streams. RPGs/Roguelikes ideally.

playing Torneko SNES... i hope the hd remake came out because they want to gauge interest in a new game... would love a modern mystery dungeon w robust shop management mechanics... but also... i want art direction that isn't ugly literal 3d....

I really do recommend. Torneko doesn't require DQ knowledge at all, and Chocobo is just c: fwiemd

Well, Torneko and Chocobo Mystery Dungeon are both super fun c: And you can get both the remaster of the first and the most recent of the second on Switch 1!
But also in EO, you're making your map from scratch (yes, even floors, walls, resource spots, etc), it helps in getting yourself grounded C:

I *finally* got my hands on a copy of Torneko 2 PS1 earlier this year. I think mine is missing the main cover art, though.
I played it a little bit, but my heart isn't in it. Dragon Quest isn't *my series*. I actively try to avoid getting into new series, because of what an obsessive nerd I am for
