The shop where you bought the bike can tell you the torque spec, generally about 30-40 Nm. They may even sell a torque wrench. I use the one below for high torque and a smaller click-type for low

I'd be checking them after every ride; maybe see if there's a torque spec for them, and break out the torque wrench. If they loosen up after that, apply a small amount of blue loctite to the threads.

Invest in a torque wrench*, from a bike tool company or Harbor Freight (I suggest Quinn)
Torque the wheel nuts once/week if you ride a lot (commute, errands,etc). In fact, you should give the bike a quick service weekly
*Ensure the range of the tool incl the spec for the wheel nuts
