We've got a lot to do by the end of the week.
We're hoping everything will be in place to move the groups of cats, the tortoises, and the chickens into our newly renovated facility in the next couple days.

A big part of conducting Gopher Tortoise surveys is using a camera on a scope to see if there are tortoises actively using the burrows we find. However, this iconic turtle species is a major ecosystem engineer, and their burrows also provide habitat for countless other species.

Last post reminds me, our riad had a couple of tortoises and one afternoon they were sitting one in front of the other and the smaller one kept headbutting the other one in the arse. Hours of entertainment.
