Speaking of idiotic activists: I live in the left-leaning @TownOfAmherst MA "where only the 'h' is silent." In the G.W. Bush era, 1 of our radicals was outraged to see the "Texas" flag flying at Town Hall. So she tore it down. The flag in fact marked Puerto Rican Heritage Day

The @townofamherst DPW was filling (very needed) potholes on our street, so @hawkeceprof & I headed to Shelburne Falls to see the glacial potholes. Nature in Massachusetts is very beautiful.

Oh look who just posted about this TODAY an HOUR after I made this post. reminding me the point of the June 10 meeting was to gather input from “relevant” community members. But people like me who actually need and use the services were shut out due to simple & glaringly obvious accessibility issues

We recently said goodbye to the Amherst VFW Post 754, a place that held many memories and stories for our community. Founded in 1921 by veterans of the Spanish-American War and World War I, the VFW Chapter was named after Earl J. Sanders, a U.S. Army private from Amherst who died in 1918 while at the front lines in Germany. In its place, a new shelter and affordable housing will be built for our community. The Town of Amherst is currently working architecture fire Narrow Gate to explore possible development approaches for 457 Main Street. This property was acquired by the Town to help serve housing-insecure individuals. On June 10th, many community members offered ideas for this initiative. These ideas and other input will be incorporated by the Narrow Gate into a conceptual design and narrative, which will be presented to the community”
