On my way back to London after an uplifting week at W3C TPAC in Dublin.

as always, the real TPAC was the friends we made along the way.

(oh and we made progress on some CSS features like logical shorthands, link parameters, and shrink-to-fit)

Waiting in the ferry queue for what will hopefully be an uneventful trip home.

I really enjoyed TPAC this year. A needed reminder that there are lots of people who still really care about the web platform.

@miriam.codes mocking me for hiding in the dark corner of the room was my highlight of TPAC

Had a great time at TPAC got to meet a lot of great people irl for the first time. Lots of cool things being worked on. I've also told at least 3 people to solve tabs in html, so hopefully eventually it happens.

I really enjoyed TPAC, but lesson hard learned for me: taking holiday the week before is the wrong way to go about it.

Made it home from TPAC just in time for small children to come to my door and menace me for chocolate.

Though not one of them so far has carved a turnip lantern, which I find disappointing. Halloween when I was a child stank of turnips.

Today at #TPAC, a talk asked the audience: whenever human DX (developer experience) and agentic DX conflict, how should the solution be weighted? This was my answer, basically word for word:

“You weight the solution 100% in favor of humans, every time, no exceptions.”

Said it with my whole chest.
