Artemis is a little miffed at NASA. For years we tried to get him to be the mascot of the official Artemis II moon mission, but no luck.

Only to be replaced by a stuffed Sailor Moon Artemis toy. 😤

Seen on my bike ride today
a “sharrow” (white share-the-road painting of a bicycle with the chevron direction pointing up on a roadway) this one is extra special because the bicycle has been painted over in a happy festive rainbow of colors and there are paintings of three cats of different colorations positioned on the bike. the upper cat has a speech bubble that reads “ride safe” this sharrow is on SE 19th in the West Moreland neighborhood of Portland, OR

My cat has rediscovered his interest in my bicycle by doing a full inspection of the tune up from @thedailyrider.co a few months ago. ✅

I did have to pump up my tires.

For health reasons Blackberry cannot stay alone for more than 6 hours so she goes wherever we go! As an island dweller, she often takes the boat (also the plane, car, bus, train, metro)… She’s a great traveling companion (napped on my knees most of the way in the ferry today)!

We’re getting our sea legs today. The cat is only permitted in the cabin because her life vest hasn’t arrived yet. She finds this to be a travesty.
