"LGBTQ organizations" are tools that you can use the incidental resources/organization of, but virtually all of them balk at actually involving themselves with transsexual women in particular. The ones that are specifically by and for are widely-reviled as "separatist" or "transmedical." It sucks.

this is not the evolution of language and shift in meaning. it was an active effort to turn the ppl who experienced transmedical violence and try to promote ease of access to hormones and surgery they had to fight tooth and nail for into perpetrators of "gatekeeping"
