Oh, I don’t know. We have irrational, antirational, prerational, quasirational, transrational, etc. These each have a different meaning. Of course, few really use them in everyday speech.

I'm sure you're right about Hegseth et al. Most people approach religion from a primal, tribal level that is largely disconnected from reason. Which is as it should be; religion addresses transrational portions of existence. The problems arise when a religion promotes intolerance.
