Prep work for #paleoart of Dracoraptor, a Jurassic neotheropod(?) from Wales. The original "cute" skull reconstruction is strange, bearing little resemblance to any close relatives. I see no reason it shouldn't have a much more conventional L. Trassic/E. Jurassic theropod cranium. #dinosaurs

The laminations and crossbedding lead me to think sandstone but the Paleozoic and Trassic sands are red in that area. Limestone country?
