Proud adopter of three new trees! Styrax, Eastern Redbud, and a Willow oak. Thanks to the generous efforts of @TreesCharlotte and their volunteers for providing local residents with free trees to plant back into our community. 🌱 #CLT #Zone8a #Gardening #Trees

Never heard of him, but will look him up. Thanks for the tip. I joined the native plant society here, volunteer for the local tree planting charity, TreesCharlotte and so am trying to make a wee bit of positive change. :) 🌱

I fell in love with trees growing up. It was the quiet magic, the thought that they had been silent guardians long before you were born and would be here long after you’d gone. Cutting mature trees down always causes slight feelings of grief. Now I volunteer for city planting with TreesCharlotte.org

Charlotte’s hottest neighborhoods lack trees. Experts say more canopy could cool temps by up to 20 degrees. TreesCharlotte is working to fix the urban heat divide.

I agree. I volunteer locally to plant more trees for TreesCharlotte.org, it’s a great way to make a difference and meet other civic minded folks. Influence your immediate locale and vote. Hopefully enough people wake up to the threat this imbecile poses on global peace and stability.
