Revision of the trematosaurid Erythrobatrachus noonkanbahensis confirms a cryptic marine temnospondyl community from the Lower Triassic of Western Australia
Tetrapods emerged as dominant marine predators during the earliest Triassic, with trematosaurid temnospondyls representing one of the first groups to radiate globally after the cataclysmic end-Perm...

Microposaurus was a fairly big trematosaurid from the middle Triassic, notable for a relatively short snout, an elongated quadrate and a really peculiar tooth arrangement, with teeth poking out of its nostrils (i might do a lateral view of the skull eventually) #temnospondyl

Early Triassic fossils from Australia reveal diverse marine amphibian communities
Several 250-million-year-old specimens from museum collections in Australia and the United States reveal the remarkable diversity of the Western Australian trematosaurid temnospondyl, indicating that early marine amphibians spread across the continent shortly after the end-Permian mass extinction. "The catastrophic end-Permian mass extinction and extreme global warming prompted the emergence of modern marine ecosystems at the beginning of the Mesozoic Era, about 252 million years ago," Dr.
