Sounds like he's feeling _really_ super about how the election trendlines have shaped up.
Trump says he is banning CNN, MS NOW, and Politico from the White House press pool, with other outlets to follow.

Trump's superpower has always been the ability to be the patron saint of losers but now he's too much of a loser even for most of them to associate with, if you want to follow the trendlines, look to the grifters first, they will always show you which way the wind blows
New in PN: The trickle of Republicans opposing Trump will become a flood

"Republicans — even some who not long ago donned red MAGA hats — have decided their survival calculation has been flipped upside-down, and now the riskiest move isn’t to break from Trump; it's to stick with him unequivocally."
The trickle of Republicans opposing Trump will become a flood
The risk of bucking him is now outweighed by the risk of NOT opposing him.

there's simultaneously two major trendlines occurring with this administration

1. laying waste to a lot of what keeps government/society stable in a really reckless way

2. loudly telegraphing that they see themselves as above accountability ("what are you gonna do?")

raise pension ages, let more young people into your country, and see what happens in the next couple of decades because trendlines rarely go the direction you think forever. maybe we'll invent unimaginable technologies, such as exo-wombs or men contributing equally to childrearing.

Delighted to see Ireland bucking the populist trendlines.

Rather immigration is a product of wider socio-economic structural forces whose impact needs to be managed and whose trendlines can change.

Yes, Aunt May is getting younger, but so is Peter Parker, just at a slower rate.

Extending the trendlines, we are able to ascertain that in 2058 both characters will be played by 21yo actors. #spider-man

For those who ask, "Isn't that presuming the story before it happens?" the answer's no—as the story *is* the system, the trendlines, and the modus operandi that's been evident and screaming for real journalism to cover it for years. Corporate media stenography *evades* the story.

Following current 5-year trendlines, Furry Weekend Atlanta will be attended by everyone in the US by 2055, all living humans (UN median projection 2024) by 2065, and shortly after that, all humans who have ever lived in 2072.

and like trump's numbers are not looking good actually! the trendlines are all very bad for him! and that popularity is in fact fundamental to power--even, especially, in attempted authoritarian takeovers

Hoping that @mtkonczal.bsky.social posts his full analysis over here. But from Xitter, here's one of his graphs showing where prices are going up.

4/ These changes have not affected ISW’s previously assessed trendlines of the Russian rate of advance.
Russian milbloggers identified problems with the Russian air campaign and assessed that Russian forces may not be able to take advantage of reported increased bombing capabilities.

I'm comfortable reporting—as a journalist who looks for trendlines to analyze—that when Donald Trump says to a journalist, "Who are you with?", he's saying (unless he's speaking to a far-right plant whose outlet he wants to advertise), "You just asked a great question, and I fucking hate you for it"

Actual journalism would acknowledge *unmistakable trendlines* and what they mean to *experts*—not the Trump confidants this account obsessively ventriloquizes.

Vance wanted more info out, he's now on the outs with Trump.

Bongino wanted more info out, he was forced from the FBI.

What corporate media has done instead is something insidious: it's reframed as analysis, commentary, or opinion what is in fact *necessary context* (e.g. history, ancillary reporting, trendlines, systemic features, biography and more) that *should* have shown up in its reporting.

And Europeans in particular need to stop assuming that there will always be an endless pool of migrants and refugees willing to move to Europe in sufficient numbers to cover widening labour market and demographic gaps.

Structural trendlines are never endlessly linear.
