POV: You just listened to me rant about how terribly flawed the Children of Gaia Revised Tribebook and how mishandled the Tribe as a whole and then get a spoken essay how this girl would correct course the Coggies from the viewpoint of their Auspices.

They didn't, not yet; the "splat" came from the Clanbook/Tribebook/Guildbook/Kithbook construction. The universal variable was *, which the nerds called "splat," so a "*-book" was a "splatbook."

I decided on a Red Talon Ragabash who has yet to be (deed) named & is rather young. Went into the city to work/learn the basics for their Rite of Passage, serving as a courier of sorts & learnt to ride a bike too.
Now I'm revising Red Talon culture & lore with the Revised Tribebook with Holly 🥰

Oooh, a Get of Fenris tribebook. Very few game supplements are worth $40, and how the Get aren’t the assholes you think (they are in fact different assholes) isn’t it.
“The town of Bog Bottom” clearly Paizo didn’t have British proofreaders here, or possibly all of their proofreaders were Brits.

Huh, so Mignola apparently only did the card art and cover to a fiction collection from the setting. Surprised he didn't do more since the artwork at the time was majorly going for a similar vibe.

"Splat" es un término que se utiliza en inglés para "leer" el símbolo de comodín *, que se ponía en los foros/grupos de los 90 como parte del término *books, una forma de resumir las series de libros de WhiteWolf (Clanbook, Tribebook), etc. Y de otros, como los Chromebook de Talsorian.

The Fianna tribebook for Werewolf: the Apocalypse, because that series had the tribal glyphs cut out of the covers and all the (new) local copies were torn to hell.
What was the first thing you ever bought online? Mine was a .Hack manga

There’s a rumor that the reason the CoG tribebook is the only one you can’t get a print on demand copy of is just because it’s that bad. I think personally it’s that their printer won’t print it because of the orgy scene.

True, but their Tribebook makes the allusion that they aren't sure that camp is entirely dead - mentioning they were wrong about thinking they wiped out the Fera in the Impergium. Not only that, but it mentions some of the Get they hold dim views of the other tribes that sound sadly familiar.

When I paged through the Tribebook for Get of Fenris in a store someone asked my why I was reading a Nazi-book and with one look at the cover it becomes clear how much of a swastika it is. Stays with me and eben if I worked on the game later on, I never got too comfortable with it again.
