I was floored when I learned about the fees as well! They apparently raised it to $50 according to my parents who were vacationing in PEI late last year. As someone who may be moving to New Brunswick soon, I’m kind of pumped the bridge may be free to cross. Long Haul fees, yes. Personal trnsprt, no.

IMO it shld be Nationalised that essential things are universally delivered & affordable. Water, power, health, public trnsprt, communications.

No problem with a market offering additional value at extra cost, as long as basic universal offering isn't compromised.
The internet is not at that point.
