i always get lowkey emotional putting sayana and her mom next to each other 😭 i wanted sayana to look Not The Same as her parents but look related enough and i think i was able to strike that enough with tsilun 🥺

sayana is extremely close to her parents and loves+respects them, not only as elders, but for their respective crafts.
because sayana's mother tsilun was also her mentor w/ medicine, sayana feels an extra pressure to do her proud and succeed (but all tsilun wishes for is for sayana to be happy :'D)

im gonna b so real i think i used RNG for sayana's first name 💀 but iirc it also translates to "joy" in tagalog (at least saya) so i have been going with that bc tsilun also has some filipino-adjacent ties ✨️

OR MAYBE ☝️ malleability/thickness of scaling is a genetic thing,,, sagra has softer scales but tsilun has tougher and thicker scales she could take hits with and that was passed on to sayana

tl;dr w a combo of paternal build + endurance via fat tail and maternal toughened scaling + strength, tsilun ended up birthing a fucking tank LMFAO
